Single Family Homes: $78,000-$1,000,000+ We are finding the majority of single family homes for sale this fall are located east of Lake Mendota. Most are 2-3 bedroom homes. Things to consider are age of the home, location, work needing to be done on the home, garage space and parking.
Old/Victorian Style: Madison has a unique housing market of Victorian style homes. We are finding Victorian homes in the price range of $1,000,000 and up. You can find them on Lake Mendota all the way to the outer parts of the city. The big thing to consider here is whether or not you can afford such a home!
New Builds: There are a handful of new builds in the West Madison area near West Middleton and Five Points. Prices range $240,000-$500,000+ New builds come with less worry of repairs/remodeling. But are also less of a profitable investment when turning around and selling. We suggest considering new builds if you are planning to stay in them for the long haul.
